WebFeb 12, 2024 · Switched from UEFI to Legacy, then back, got No bootable device. The reason is UEFI dropped NVRAM boot entry (maybe all, idk) when you switch to Legacy. So, you need to add one manually after switch back from Legacy to UEFI. First you need to enter UEFI Shell. For a while I did have both UEFI Windows 8 and MBR Debian 7. The way I switched between them was by changing my settings in BIOS from UEFI to MBR and vice versa.
WebJan 29, 2024 · I went into the BIOS and changed the boot mode from Legacy-UEFI to UEFI only and rebooted. It sent me back to the BIOS and I couldn’t start to Windows. I changed nothing else. I decided to change it back to Legacy-UEFI like before, but it still won’t start. It doesn’t detect my drives as bootable, although the drives themselves are detected.
