Web31 dec. 2024 · To make an output reactive, we use Shiny’s render functions. Changes to inputs automatically render code and update outputs. Shiny offers a wide variety of render functions: renderPlot - renders standard R plots renderLeaflet — renders leaflet output renderDT — renders DT DataTables renderPlotly — renders plotly Weboutput is a list of things generated in the server that are passed to the UI. Keeping your input and output lists aligned is what allows Shiny to generate reactive web applications. Lets set up our server function to specify what covidMessage and covidMap actually store. We will save these to the output list so that the UI can make use of them!

This would update the map, which gets the selected polygon from the dropdown. Right now, clicking the map doesn't work. The leaflet map is in a module, but the dropdown is outside of it.
